Help with Soap Skin Bubble
-
Haven't received any answer yet (maybe it's the week-end but also I can imagine he is receiving hundreds of emails).
I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable price - it's just this "no info" uncertainty that bothers... -
i think i rem a fellow named Pepe from the old board who used to update us regarding the SSB? or is he the author himself???
-
...Let's wait...

Hey all,
Don't know what i am doing with the download but I have successfully installed SoapSkin on my desktop [PC] and have done the same thing on my notebook but the toolset can not be found...
Any suggestions?Cheers in advance,
-
You have to activate it at Window > Preferences > Extensions than maybe even also tick at View > Toolbars > Soap Bubble.
-
Thanks Gaieus, Have tried that. It worked fine on my Notebook but there is no 'View>Toolbars>Soap bubble' option available.....I have checked to see if i have it in the Tools folder under SU6.0 also and that is exactly as per my PC.... strange.

How much would you be willing to pay for soapskinbubble? It appears its not working. I thought it was a donation type situation. Something like $15-$20 dollars maybe would be fair I think considering google sketch up is free also considering top prices on smustard.
It is a nice program in some situations. I the architecture windowizer get's used more. -
Yeah, about that price would sound reasonable for me, too.

Here is a work around... just set the date on your computer back a year!

I guess I can do this temporarily, but it becomes a management issue of other time sensitive files, right. I wouldn't dare change the time or date in the encrypted file
How can we fix this to be legit?

Sorry for asking what might be considered a stupid question, but do you need to download and reinstall the plugin or can you just continue to use the installed one?
Another thing, I tried downloading the plugin again from the author's website but couldn't for the some or other reason, anybody else getting this?
-
Juju I'm not at home now but last time (when this thread started) I downloaded it it was still version 1.0.3 so something might have been changed therefore the old version may not work now.
-
I'm really posing this question as a general seeing that I seldom use the plugin (it's been a while) and it's not really clear if one needs to do that or not.
Anyhows, I'll try downloading it again a little later, seems like we need to download it again.
-
The instructions say that you need to remove the old one first.
-
I know that, the instructions to the previous version also said that. I didn't have a problem installing the plugin, I had a problem downloading it.
For those of you wanting to download the latest version, you need to change the URL manually in your browser from .../SoapSkinBubbleTools_Rel_1.0.2.zip to .../SoapSkinBubbleTools_Rel_1.0.3.zip to get the latest version.
