Context Menu move selection to Group/Component?
-
Is there a context menu script somewhere that allows you to move your selection (component, group, or raw geometry) from one parent component/group to another parent component/group?
-
no need for more context menu item clutter!

CTRL+X to cut the object from one place
set up shortcut: Shft+CTRL+V = paste in place
open target component or group, paste in place with keyboard shortcut.

Even if we did want more clutter, it is currently not possible to add existing geometry to a nested G/C via ruby. This is a known bug, awaiting resolution.

Well that's good to know (I won't try to cobble together a test then).
On a side note, even with the cut/paste option, I'd still have to have the Outliner open and dig through the tree.
The Layer Manager script does a good job at letting you r-click and quickly move contents
