to use different siding packages and I cant seem to find anything other than color
options. do i need to buy the pro version?

you can create a material from any jpeg
using the create material button found
on the materials pallet (looks like a little striped box with a plus sign)
images can be found all over the net just search for textures
(most of these are for rendering software but the tiling and such are the same)
