Hints given by SketchUp

Hi folks.
The following 2 hints are obvious for experienced SU users but may help beginners.
It pertain to observing a zone that seem invisible to many beginners with SU, the left part of the bottom of the model window where SU is showing the user what to do which is also called the Status bar (See the help).
Hint number 1:
Place the cursor over each tool and observe what the status bar is showing.
Hint number 2:
When using a tool, observe what SU is showing in each step of the operation.
The following hint pertain to observe the pop-up messages that SU is constantly showing when you place the cursor over an Endpoint, a Midpoint, an Edge, a Face, a Center, an axis like "On blue axis", etc.
Hint number 3:
The trick here is to take your time and give enough time to SU to be able to give you the required pop-up message. Normally, the pop-up is showned in less than about half a second.
So, my advice is relax and let SU help you. Dont rush. The few seconds you think you are saving by rushing are more than wasted by the time you will take to correct mistakes and repairing bad geometry.
Of course, reading the help and viewing all video tutorials, especially those for SU 5 are mandatory to grasp all the power and flexibility of SU.
Have fun and experiment. Dont forget that you can UNDO or reload a previously saved file to recover from a bad experiment.
Just ideas.
