Customizing Question
-
Is it possible to customize the icon toolbar (across the top of the document) and add more then one row of tools? Of course I've gone to the "Customize Toolbar" menu item and tried to add there but they get placed in a drop down menu rather then adding another line. I could swear I saw an image somewhere that had three or four rows of icons.
Thanks.

Hi Maurice,
I run the Windows version so I can only give advice on that. I see you have Mac. There the icons can be (to my best knowledge) set individually while in the Windows version we can only place whole (pre-made) toolbars.
Now in the Win version, I can create a second line by starting to place the toolbars abovethe existing ones. Then SU does not allow this but creates a second line above the existing one.
Now let's wait till a Mac user jumps into the conversation to give proper advices.

I was dealing with this today. The Mac version can have a totally custom toolbar by simply choosing View -> Customize Toolbar (the last entry on the drop down). MY question, however, is why in the world did Sketchup take AWAY the ability to customize the toolbars in the Windows version??? I started on SKP 4 and have used it all the way to 6 Pro and it USED to be easy to build a custom toolbar... Why take away a good thing? Especially when the Mac interface has such an easy way to do it?

Good news: Jim is working on a custom toolbar script.
