I want to be a future car designer

Catia was the one someone suggested professional car designers use. I dont know much aobut it myself but i do know its very powerful and very adaptable, not sure how easy it is to use though, or how easy it is to get started with.

Certainly Catia is not a software beginners should start with - it's just for your attention and opening perspectives.

Wow from what i just read Catia is awsome! Do you think i should try and convince my parents to buy it for me? Do i have to download it or can i buy a cd version?

I jsut did a quick browse fo their website, and i think its a download. Its only $75, so if you can convince your parents to get a copy for you, go for it. You can't go wrong for $75

Seems Catia permit to modelise cars, yes, but also some other things boats planes etc...

Wow thats really cool. My dad thought it was really good. Is it true that it shows wear and tear damage to the model too?

probably can't do everyday wear and tear but I imagine it could do wear on an engine for example.

I know Blender is a very good and FREE 3D modeler, I don't know if it's easy to model cars with. But maybe you should check it out, there are also a lot of tutorials about blender.

hey c mon guys, sketchup can do anything,i proved that with my cars,and many others did that,i don t say that is better than others programs but is all i know,and i know it pretty well,i like sketchup because it hasn t so many parametters and many words that i can t understand like 3ds max or others,in SU i pick up the line tool and i can do almost all with it
and ray ur cars like design are quiet good but how they are created is a mesty,u must keep organized the wires.
