Saying Hi my first project

Hi everyone I am totally new to Sketchup. I started about 3 weeks ago and this is what I am working on. It's our apartment. I hope to learn a lot from this forum and contribute to the community.

Well, impressive "start" for sure - when I had been using SU for 3 weeks only, I'm sure I couldn't have made such models (not to sperak of the rendering).
Maybe the books would need some work -or just see (and download) what books Ithil have shared in the component section:

Thanks. I used to do architectural renderings by hand for a graphic company. But that was ages ago. Working in SketchUp is easy and intuitive. I rendered this in Kerkythea. I stumbled across both SketchUp and Kerkythea in the same weekend surfing the internet. I was looking to find a software program that would let me build a train cab for my son. (he loves Microsoft train simulator) so I Googled free 3D software and bingo SketchUp shows up. Wow is it addicting! The Cab was the very first thing I did. then I took off a couple of weeks before starting the apartment.

happy little tip/shortcut for you as you begin (if you haven't already learned this...) I noticed the angled edges of the plate in the kitchen. Not sure if you modeled this yourself, but ffr if you want a smoother edge on a circle, you can just type the number of segments you want followed by 's' immediately after drawing a circle - then hit enter and voila!
i.e. draw circle, type "48s" (you'll see it come up in the little field at the lower right hand corner), then hit enter.

The props are not mine. The stove,sink,teapot,microwave and books all came from SketchUp components. I did all the rest.
