Default Material appears black. This is driving me insane.

The default material appears black. So when I draw stuff, it is black. But my default material is the normal white color. And in the Material pallete, it appears the normal white color, but in the model it appears black. Now, when I use the "eyedropper" tool to sample the black material, it appears as black in the preview window.

I have tried resetting my styles, and everything changes but the black things.

I have cut and pasted a black object into a different drawing, and it appears normally (white).

      Any other suggestions?

      Thanks,

might be worth trying to set the default colour to something just off white.

More generally, it sounds more like a graphics issue than a problem with SU, although ti might be a combination of the 2.

          Justin welcome.

My first thought was what remus said second. Do you have the latest driver for your graphics card?
Is this a new issue or did you just start using SU on this particular machine?

Are you drawing inside a group? Try drawing outside it . . . .
