Claire-Obscure rendering
-
Hi all,
A quick lighting experiment on a free 'model' model from the net (.3ds original).
Rendered with VrayforSketchup.I didn't elaborate the materials....Just went in for the light effect.
A small Pshop touch up using superposed layer copies with different blending ('screen' and 'opacity').Feel free to testosteron (and/or comment) on it
@Solo, you asked me to render 'dirty'...is this something you had in mind? (awaiting your half of the bargain now )
Cheers,
kwistenbiebel
-
You call that dirty? the only thing dirty there is her morals....and I like it.
Interesting light angle, what time of day is it? as it does not look like the crack of dawn from here.
(great rendering by the by)
-
Well...I don't remember the time of day. (I think it was early afternoon, februari GMT+1)
I see it as a door opening, but it could as well just be radiant mirror she's looking in.... -
Great clothing mesh and texture, loks like plastic. The light shining through material makes the image "PoP".
Does my last bathroom posting not qualify as clean?
-
christ,
love the material..love the concept.
-
Hi Kwistenbiebel,
This is absolutely BEAUTIFULL!!
I haven't been able to make anything similar to this with VfSU, and have almost given up trying to learn it...How on earth were you able to make the shirt material..??
Looks really good!!Cheers
Kim Frederik -
Wow. Looks good, although I would suggest using a SSS mat on her skin, especially for this kind of lighting.
-
A quick try using Fry-render.
Sheet translucency (sssss) applied to the 'nighties'.
Being somewhat impatient, I killed the render after 6 hours.By the way,
Thanks for the kind remarks. -
Hi Kwistenbiebel,WOW! That's terific. Thanks for the link.
Cheers and Beers,
Bill.
ps. Who's Dawn? -

Aw you fellows are mean. :esad:
Cheers and beers,

What is 'Fry render'? It certainly seems slow, however it did a great job with flooring material. Have you tried this model in Maxwell, Podium or any other app yet?
I woud like to see how the new Podium handles this lighting, I am thinking of recreating a similar scene and testing it...hope you do not mind. (I will post my results in my 'random renders' thread.
Thanks
-
Solo,
I will render it in Podium later on and i'll post it here.
Fry Render is a new render package which is very similar to Maxwell but still in beta phase.@Bill,
we're not mean, just "MCP".(MCP= male chauvinist pigs)
-
Biebel
Can you share that floor texture? or direct me to the location you acquired it?
It is amazing.
-
Hi kwistenbiebel, Wot's MCP? Sounds like something serious! Spring has sprung here and the sap in the old trees is ariseing you may find me a bit strange(er) overthe next month while I dash hither and thither after any and everything that flutters by. :econf:
Have one on me,
Bill -
Hey Bill,
I just noticed something that made me come to the following conclusion:
From now on you have unofficially been promoted to our board moral officer/board alchoholic every post Ive seen from you today ends with a reference to a beer and drinking it.
So Cheers on the new title!
:100k: -
:egrin: Boy oh boy, a promotion to officer class! Thanks Rob, does that mean that I get a plentiful supply of Speights 3 Star Ale, The Pride of the South? Well I suppose I could say anything but as I haven't been able to afford a beer for a while it must be subconsciously preying on my mind. If it makes you happy I shall desist and say something really cool, like "Have a nice day Sir". Sorry but I don't think it would be safe to put me in charge of morals because it's been a long hard winter here and the women are shopping for running shoes and I'm lurking in the shoe shop.
Keep your bore clean and your powder dry, and lang may your lum reak.
Bill.
ps. Thanks for the explanation abt MCP, never really figured out the true meaning of that phrase either, it seems like different women have different interpretations, depending on their state of mind at the time. -
Bill, don't change your trademark I love it . I was just messing with you .
And trust me lurking the shoe shop... we do it all though we will never admit it.
Cheers!
