It hit me like a ton of bricks last night, so hard in fact that I'v been thinking about it all day today.
"Smustard, the companion to Sketchup"
Smustard and Sketchup as in, "Would you like some Smustard and Sketchup with your Shamburger and Shotdog."

I know. It is so sad! It seems so obvious now. As my kids would say "Mom, you are such a dork." Just yesterday, I was on FormFonts and I was thinking "Why Smustard? I'm going to Google it" Which I never did....

I'm glad you all see the humor - it was meant to be funny as a spoof on the names. It does take some people a while to get it, and when they do - they chuckle. I was IMing with Google support the other day, Brad, and he asked about it too - "what does it mean?". He chuckled too when all I said was "Sketchup.... Smustard.... Duh!".
We have it defined in the FAQ somewhere - but who reads those?

I too have off and on wondered...but a connection never dawned on me (not even when the Srelish announcement hit the stands...hey, what's happening with that anyway? :`)
