Bucks for starbux: go juice for the keyboard jockey (July07)

I live in a town of 20,000. I get my daily go juice from starbux and today while getting my 5 shot caramel machieta (sp) I figured out we have 13 independent coffee stands at major junctions or corners around town, and I probaly missed a couple. Each sells their pricey cup of joe with fancy toppings to a line of eagerly waiting clientèle. I rarely am the only person in line. It amazes me we will pay $3-5 for a cop of coffee, and the number of vendors around here bonifies the solidity of the industry.

Must be the stuff that makes computers run!

Similar situation here. Ten years ago it would
have been unheard of, paying €2-3 for a plain
coffee. But its quite acceptable these days.

And a lot of Pubs would much prefer to sell
coffee all day long against booze. I wonder
why, anything to do with bottom line profit
margins

And I can remember the day bottled water came on the market. "Who the heck would pay for water!" I said.
Well I do it all the time now
Luckily we have a nice new water filter at work. It has a uv filter in it as well. Nothing like the taste of pure water.

and did you read in this weeks news where pepiCo has to label the water bottles that the water inside comes out of a....you ready for this...tap...undisclosed location though.
