A client sent me a Site Plan as a .wps file which I can't open. I tried renaming it to a .doc and opened it in Word but I only got a bunch of weird symbols and letters. Would anyone know how I go about opening this??

I think it's a microsoft works format... you might could see if there is a converter for Word. I'll check online, but there maybe one on your install cd.

EDIT: found a converter here is the install.

        Overview
The Works 6.0 Converter converts word processor documents created in Microsoft Works 6.0 or above to Microsoft Word and previous versions of Works. It also allows other word processing programs to save files in Microsoft Works word processor format. Specifically, this converter works with Works 2000, 4.5, and 4.x, and Word 2003, 2002, 2000, and 97 on systems running Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows Millennium Edition, and Windows XP.

you just install the coverter and it adds the converter to your Word program.
so, you can just open it through word.... (i think)
