Apple Safari 3 Beta?
-
Was just wondering if anyone had tried this yet?
Safari has been released for Windows users in beta.
I am a Windows user but really like the look and feel/ease of use of the Mac and so am very tempted to try this software out.So, has anyone given it a go?

I have Version 3.0 (522.11) running on my MacBook Pro. Seems pretty stable.
There are a few new commands that I like: History/Reopen Last Closed Window; and History/Reopen All Windows from Last Session.
Some annoying new aspects is that the application is now more protective, querying you when you want to leave a page or shutdown. If you use something like OnePage, PageFlakes, or NetVibes, it warns you about losing data when you close a page (even though you won't and can't do anything about it anyway).

I've heard a lot about safari for the iphone lately, anyone know whats going down with that?
-
The iPhone runs OSX and the Apple browser for OSX is Safari - so the iPhone comes with Safari. What has hit the news is that Apple has said that the only way for programmers to run custom apps on the iPhone is to do it thru Web 2.0 type apps that will run thru Safari. So to let the whole world play at making things for the iPhone, they released Safari for Windows for the rest.

(Ripped that Canadians have to wait past the 29th to get one!)

I did give it a try...
safari on windows ----> looks good. -
Yes, I am still yet to try it. I was initially put off with reports of security flaws, although a newer version has been released with the fixes.
Version 3.0.2 betaI really want to give this software a go, the one thing making me think twice is transferring my favourites!
I guess if they are not transferrable it is a good chance for a spring clean. -
They are, Dylan, so give it a try. However some things (like the back button on my mouse) won't work for me but maybe I just need to find out.

Thanks Giaeus, I was just reading up on this very point as you posted.
Here is a link for anyone who may want some information.
