Mac user needs help to see the light
-
dear fellow mac users,
i have been using a new imac intel for almost 2 months. even tough quicktime is properly installed very frequently when i try to watch a video (either stream or downloaded) i get a message saying there is a component missing in my quicktime installation. usually I am directed to apple's support where i find a bunch of components for QT.
the problem is: how do i know which component i need? i downloaded a few but it did not solve the problem.
does nayone know the answer for this?

it really is not the MAC I think even though I blame everything on macs...
Itn hin you probably don't have the proper codec...
try looking for a mass codec install file....

i wish the offended software would tell me which codec i need!

If everything else fails, try downloading vlc player for mac, wich will playback divx, xvid, and most other video codecs. Another plus: fullscreen video and fullscreen on a second screen (useful for watching movies on a tv attached to your mac).

thanks, santiago. gracias.
i've installed vlc and also found out that the missing codec was ensharpen, which i downloaded and istalled. everything is in order now.
saludos.
