Anyone uses AutoCAD LT 2008?

Hello all!
Can AutoCAD LT 2008 open an AutoCAD 2008 file?
-
My guess is that it would have too.
The two have always had a pretty close fit. -
I'm no AutoCAD monkey, but AFAIK the LT version is completely compatible with the regular version (file saving characteristics wise), where it differs is the functionality of the program itself is a lot less in the LT version.

The general idea is that LT can open "full" files. The main difference between the two is that LT has almost none 3D tools, it cannot display images, and that it has no programming interfaces (like AutoLisp or ARX) It is a bit different for DWG files created with the AutoCad Architecture 2008 or similar Autodesk variants. The special AEC objects created by these need an "enabler" to be run to be visible in normal AutoCad, and I don't think that LT can run these.

thank you for the response. I'll fiddle with the trial version of LT over the weekend.
