SU-Artantis interiors

I thought grain was added in PS. Also there is more postprocessing there, right.
Could you post raw renders please. -
-
Good post processing work!, though I must ask why the grain?
-
Nice. The little bit of bloom and the grain really helps the Artlantis output which sometimes is a little "plastic-like".

Hello old friend
Glad you took a look at my drawings.....you were the reason I bought Artlantis way back. I was really impressed with the work you did with it when you were still using it.The grain and bloom effect is for the exact reason you specified. It helps to soften the image up even though it isn't exactly photo real. It's more of a mood thing. Still can't beat artlantis times with any other renderer. Perfection has a price - and with a single processor like mine the price is time.
So i'm still using ARtlantis for my interior and KT for exteriors.
Thanks for checking out my work
Glad to finally find this new forum. These are my first posting ins the forum. -
hi ypnos1,
I like your renders very much. I am very interested in your output as I am beginning to explore artlantis in conjunction with sketchup and vectorworks. I shall be keeping an eye on you, in case you don't mind it.

That's cool
I'll post more Sketchup - Artlantis images for you to check out....not in this thread necessarily but in others as well.
Glad you like my work

well, I like them very much and look forward to when I will be able to produce something like that. as for crits, I will leave that to others for the time being: my knowledge of rendering is not enough to venture into that.
a question. would you have any recommendations as to how to export the SU model into artlantis? 3DS has been working fine for me (that is, as far as exporting goes) but whenever I tried to export in artlantis format (ATL) my machine crashes.
regards.

Try and reinstall the program if the .atl exporter crashes. This is my best recomendation.
I also read somewhere that Artlantis R 1.2.5 (i think) can import SU files directly.
Good luck with that

I assume you are telling me to reinstall SU, right? alas, my copy of artlantis is the 1.2.2.
thanks.

first i would try and reinstall the exporter that can be downloaded from the artlantis website
I'm not suggesting to reinstall SU because that could be a complicated task.
Try opening up your SU file in ARtlantis directly ----- let me know if that works

I have installed artlantis 1.2.5 but it does not offer SU as a valid format for import. I'll try to reinstall the plugin.

I think you can literally open an SU file in ARtlantis not import it.
Try that

there is no import option in ARtlantis (at least i could not find it). when I tried to open an SU file all of them appeared grayed out in the dialogue box. only files with the extensions atl and 3ds could be opened among the ones in my HD.

ok
i must be mistaken...post your problem on the abvent site...or at least search for it there. Surely others have encoutered the same problem.Sorry for not being able to help.

I'd like to know the proccess that you've used to soften those images! I love that effect, it adds sooo much more depth to your image! great work!

ok ok
here is the secret.....download this photoshop plug-in. http://www.optikvervelabs.com/ It works really well and give lots of presets to play with. In fact is is great for images straight out of sketchup. I'll create a few examples later and post them for everybody to see.
Best of all its free! God bless'm!
I'll show you guys how to create areas of light/atmosphere in photoshop at another time. I'm at work now and have to go. Glad you guys like my work.
Best of all all of these tricks happen very quickly once you get the hang of them.
