This was done for a client in Spring, TX, and was based on the plantation homes of Louisiana.

Thanks. View a sample at http://www.dantyree.com/download/sample.skp

Dan, very nice model. You've done a great job.

I did notice that the iron work in the railing looks a like it might just be line work? Add a little thickness to that and it would be perfect. ๐Ÿ˜„

Looks great. However, you've made a mistake a lot of contemporary architects/designers seem to make with classical columns - they are placed too far back from the entablature. The neck of the column should be even with the face of the architrave.

        My avatar is an anachronism.

I have to make a corinthian capital in sketchup for my roman theatre... I am afraid of the amount of work (I am not an expert in sketchup).

I have downloaded your sample to look for inspiration... (Don't worry, I would never use or modify yours, believe me). I hope is not difficult to do it, if you know how...

          It's a great work, congratulations.

          Forgive my spanglish...

            Jackpot Dan,

            Bring the mad details.

I'm guessing this would make a very tasty target from the sky -- I mean rock on with the Alien Hordes -- but they may lock on target here.

I'm into all the crazy black and white action.

It makes me want to do it, you know? Do the details right, like here, like now.

I've been anti-mouse click as of late, but your box of love is so on, I want to drive a tread right onto this beauty and bring it.

                Well, a very interesting design.
I thing you should colour it in. Give some vivid view to it. It looks Palladian style with loadza columns and symmetry around it. well done!

My architects heart is bleeding, but the modeling is awesome.
                        Great job.

I agree with the Belgian above me. Dislike the architecture (de gustibus ...), but the model is outstanding. ๐Ÿ‘
