Old forum vs new forum

this morning i visited the forum at google groups. in the afternoon i had some doubts about section planes and looked it up at the almost dead SU forum.
what a difference in quality! the difference between the two is abysmal: one looks like kid's stuff, the other offers all sorts of advice on simple and/or complex matters at the cost of typing a couple of words in the search box.
i hope we can recover something like what is still there.
