    Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman

Another Google SU refugee looking for a home.....and yes I must say this looks quite nice. A little bit of paint here, maybe a picture over there. So nice to see many familiar names again.

I must admit I haven't posted anything in a long time but still like to read the forums. I used to post alot of high poly trees that I used to come across on the web for those of you that remember me. Unfortunately, not much has changed as they're probably still high poly, but hey, they work for me.

Anyway a small re-intoduction. I'm a local government landscape architect in Sydney Australia, married to a great wife with 3 small children and a German Shepherd called Pum-baa.

Great to be online with all of you again. And a big thankyou Coen for allowing me to join your site.

    Regards to all

    Cheers

Yes Guys, it is starting to look like a homely place. The SU Pro Forum
was getting me quite down and I needed a break from it anyway.

I'm just wondering now if this 'Pro Forum' will remain for Pro Users
or will be be seeing non Pro Users jumping in ?

What do you guys think ?

          Mike

PS: Must stick a picture up there as it definitely help to communicate
better. Hey ! Tom ..... you ARE imagined how I thought you looked LOL
Errrrrr ........ very learned and sophisticated πŸ˜‰

Personally I'm not in favour of 'exclusive' forums. Especially as the latest version of Google SketchUp enables some very 'Pro' work to be done. And it would be a shame if the exclusivity dissuaded new users from participating.
My vote would be to keep it open, but under review πŸ˜‰

            A.

So Mike, "very learned and sophisticated" is long for "old and tired" right? I like seeing the pics too, so I posted this one for now (might have to dig up one from one of my wild and sexy ages...if I can remember back that far and find one :`)

I'm with Andy on the forum "openness" but a couple of things might make the experience more satisfying: like a "beginner's" (and many days I'm this too) or help section that evolves into a sort of FAQ...? and maybe limit downloading to members only, so more would join and be more likely to participate...? But this the only forum I've been on ever so there may be problems with these suggestions...?

Anyway, this does seem already like a new home, huh?
              Best, Tom.

This groups thing was getting me down
Does anyone know how many subscribers SU has?
Will be interesting to see how many we get here

                  Dean,
Personally I don't care how many we get - I've just perused the members list, and for this 136, the list couldn't be stronger of heavy hitters and often contributors.. and now that we know Tom looks like father Christmas - why would you want to be anywhere else! πŸ˜„

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.
