oh no worries Gai! just keepin stuff clean and clear!
and thanks for the link! -
Wow, seeing so many of the other modeling projects, I'm realizing just how primitive and unprofessional my projects are . . . still though, I'm having fun, so there's no loss of interest whatsoever . . . I downloaded Kerkythea and Wings 3D - hopefully, I can begin more formal exploration of those tools soon (Blender is still somewhat overwhelming, Wings 3D looks easier to grasp). If I didn't have 8462 irons in the fire . . .

Brothers and Sisters,
Robot? Oh, yeah.
It's a Jack bird dream-fest out here for "fire gland" Hapke, but the spin is of a different direction.
Not to beat around the hog barn, yeah, I've been orbiting the Jack bird Tarot -- the seventy eight -- the mirror -- the pathless path.
The future?
Booze, Camels, and spring loaded curves -- bring it, baby -- that's what the cards show me.
I'm into the Page of Cups at the moment -- "Oh, yeah, I talk to the little flippy flip here in my golden beer -- it makes me ponder... coitus? Sure, and bringing the Jack bird new."
The Page finds himself alone with the Queen of Cups scrying mug, and though curious, he keeps his hands occupied with lighting a smoke.
As he blows out the match, a faint tinkling -- a melodious harmonic -- drifts from the mug, followed by an insistent ticking.
"Stop the seduction please," the page enjoys another drag, "my heart is spoken for."
And he leaves the thing alone...
For...
Oh...
About a minute more.
Then he tiptoes over, tilts up the lid, and ventures a quick glimpse inside.
"What a marvel..."
A whirling intricacy fills him with wonder.
"What a marvel indeed!"
So, the mug is a complex mechanism of some variety?
An interdimensional music box, or a contrivance capable of spinning golden strands of time...
Interesting.
The Queens crown is strangely square, don't you agree?
I wonder what the source of this shape is?
Apparently the Page is not a "boy toy" for the queen after all, rather, she is a mechanized magic pleasure mistress for him?
And the fun the pair has with that wind-up fish?
Breathtaking.
Durant "three of wands" Hapke
PS -- Yeah, the meat puppets have their own.

I really like women better than robots.
I can't stop laughing at this statement.

MY FIRST ROBOT!
This is my first SketchUp model. It was this experience that sold me on SketchUp as a modeling tool. The model is such an embarrassing mess. I'd rebuild it if I didn't have better things to do
-
Sweet! I wish I'd made something that "embarrassing" for my first model!!
Here's the guy I've just started working on - he's from the new Transformers:Animated series -
-
Ironic that I used to teach advanced Pro-E classes and didn't even think to start out with a skeleton model. Thanks monsterzero for your post and link to your website with great video showing "how to".
I should add this to my very simple robot - the skeleton will make moving it into position - and back - much, much easier.
Very nice models Rodentpete and monsterzero - I'm not in the same league but still having lots of fun.
