Can someone please explain some things about casting shadows from transparant faces?
Sketchup-help function says transparent surfaces only cast shadows above 70% opacity but how can you explain this:

      shadows.jpg

Both 'bryce' and the cube are painted with the same material at 25% opacity, both are components with 'cast shadows' turned on and yet the cube does not cast shadows...

What am i missing here? Thanks in advance πŸ˜„

Well, the case is that neither should cast shadows... Bryce is the curious thing here... 😲
Are both sides of Bryce painted? with this transparent material?

        Gai...

Still it's got something to do with the "face me" property - if you uncheck that, Bryce won't cast shadows either and vice versa - if you check that for the cube, it will also cats shadows.

Still weird why a face me component should behave differently.

            Gai...
