A round bench-planter

Hi everyone,
This is a unit I modeled as a proposal for a seating unit (one of twelve) for a shopping mall.

Many thanks to Tom for the numerous trees shrubs he has so generously shared. I'm sure many of us have benefitted greatly from the friuts of his efforts.

First things first: thanks much in general...but here I don't know who's tree this is?

What would be the yellow wood (or is all veneered laminate)?

That's not one of you trees?!? Are you sure?
Hmmmmmmm!

Anyway, the bench is constructed of a steel framework with Maple and Ipea.
