SketchUp 6 to SketchUp 5 converter?

Hello all!

I have a probelm. I prefer to use SketchUp version 5. Downloading 100s of components from, say, Google 3D wareshouse, manufacturers collections in SU 6 format becomes problematic. I have to open them one by one in SketchUp 6 and resave in SU 5 format.

Does there exist an SU6 to SU5 converter, or some other batch means of conversion?

Putnik,

In the WareHouse you can download everything in v.5 as well - no need to convert back. Or4 am I missing something? Is tehre a batch/collection download that's not available in v.5?
(Certainly I haven't really visited the WH for a while)

I don't visit 3D warehouse often, but many models that I've downloaded from there were only available in SU6 format. Apart from the above mentioned resource there are others that don't bother about saving in multiple formats..

We use DeepExploration for resaving models done in other programs as .SKP files. The problem is that it saves them in SU6 format.

I'm a little surprised I seem to be the only person interested in version 6 to version 5 converter. Guess will just have to wait for something to come up..

I thought when you upload something to the WH, it creates a v5 version automatically.
(I said the WH because it was you who brought it up as an example).

Well, I know there have been changes there - I should visit and check things out.

i could do with a converter aswell. use pro6 at work and 5 pro in work. for the times i forget to save as v5, it would come in handy unless anyone will resave for me as v5?....

just have to remember more often...
