QUESTION: making a curved face?
-
hi, i want to make a curved wall, SU generally produces a faceted curve...
how can i increase the facets along this curve to give it a more arc like shape? -
Anytime you create an arc or a circle, you have the opportunity to change the default number of segments. The default is 12.
As an example, right after you draw an arc or circle, type 24s and press ENTER if you want to use 24 segments for the shape.

amazing, i had no idea about that feature, ar there many other commands like that?
this is going to make things a lot easier -
That was some cross-posting but the funniest thing is that my post has disappeared (or hasn't even gotten through?): Well, luckily enough I copied it before posting:
When drawing a new arc (probably that's how you start a curved wall, right?), right click on the arc and open the entity info dialogue. There you can change the segment number (the deafult is 12) to a higher - or lower - value.
Also, when drawing the arc, you can just type (say) 24s into the VCB (s standing for "segment") and the arc automatically changes to a more segmented one.
However you should consider that if you are planning to model a complex building, the more polylines you have (with more segments etc.) the more robust your model will be and you may have difficulties at the end working on it.

There are so many little tricks that one isn't aware of - or even if is, just do not use as a routine.
I still keep browsing the "User's Guide" now and then so I'd warmly recommend you to do so.Here's the Windo2s version:

Time after time I still find nice solutions that I may have read about but not practising them, I just forget.
