Position camera

Does anybody know how to turn off the animation mode in position camera command?
It's pretty painful on large models.

Under the "view" menu or "model information" dialogue, select "animation", then uncheck "enable scene transitions". You could make this your default template as well, then just turn it on when you are ready to make scene animations.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. The position camera command wants always to animate. For complex models, try wireframe mode, then switch back display after the camera move.
