Face me at the center.

How do I get the axis to be at the center of a 3d component while creating a face me component? Is there any way to do it without having to create the component then editing the axis?
I thought you just place the center at the origin and create the component but that does not seem to work.

Personally, I have a second sketchup window open, to make new components... this helps with centering, and then I make my model using the center of the axis

All fine and dandy but when you create a component and check: Always face camera, the axis is at the lower left corner, always. I want to be able to create a face me component that has the axis at the center of the component. There seems to be no way to accomplish this at the onset of the component. You have to change the axis afterwards.
I guess this is more of a wishlist item. Not really a big one but it would be nice.

yeah I never have reason to use that always face camera deal... what do you use it for?
