I was helping a guy out (more exactly trying to help but no avail) in the "Free" help groups and suddenly I realized that I turned off the active layer and SU let me do it. More exactly I made an invisible layer the active and SU did not turn it on.
      See the images:

and then (one-by one) ALL the layers:

Hm... I guess it will be a nice bug find and is worth to go to the bug reports.

        Hi Gaieus,

I have tried repeatedly to reproduce this issue and can not. I've even tried it through the Ruby API and couldn't get the active layer to be invisible.

Do you have any steps to reproduce?

This would be a great bug!

        Thank you.

          Brad,

I could actually repeat it in the file suing the undo command (just to take the snapshots) but I could not do it again by starting over.
There was some problem with the file anyway so I suspect that caused the problem (although there was the GE snapshot and terrain, the exported kmz file did not show up in GE and the warehose upload did not produce a view in GE option either).

I don't have the skippy any more...

But Brad, now it's you who is posting and answering in "two" places/forums (like when you said this to Chris the other day)

When there is a "nice" bug, we report it "over there" anyways...
