      Hi -

Does anyone out there know how I could 'fill-in' the two indentations in these shapes (see image). I'd like the curves to follow the form - if you see what I mean... I've tried many diffent methods to solve this but haven't been able to so far. Perhaps there is a plugin which could help? All suggestions gratefully received.

There are various methods and extensions that could solve this for you, but it is helpful to understand the basics of the geometry.
You can manually stitch the edges together and then soften the edges, the soften toolbar I use here is no different to using the soften tool in the tray.

Thanks for the reply Box - do you have any tips as to which extensions might be suitable?

A lot depends on what you really need and what direction you want to head.
Various plugins like Curviloft from Fredo6, Extrusion tools by Tig, Soapskin and bubble will all do what you need, but you may need to fiddle them a bit to get the results you want.

My personal go to for something like that would be SUbD, but it is not free and has a bit of a steep learning curve. However once you understand it it can be indispensable, depending on your work of course.
In this example you can see how just changing the edges in the corners changes the finished shape significantly.
