Running sketchup off external hard drive?
-
Hi
Perhaps a bit of a weird question perhaps but my faithful MacBook Pro is starting to run a bit low on storage. It’s still running really well so I don’t want to get a new laptop but I was wondering how viable an option would it be if I bought an external ssd drive and move/run sketchup and perhaps its renderer plugins from it?
How possible is it? Does anyone on here have experience with this?
Many thanks

Which Macbook Pro do you have? If it's one of the older models you will be able to mirror & replace the drive, which would be the ideal scenario.
Here's a bit of info:
Can You Upgrade the Hard Drive or SSD In Your Mac?
Macs have a reputation for being hard to upgrade or repair, but that isn't always true.
