Find the name of the texture
-
Is there a way within SketchUp to find the name of a texture (not the material name). I downloaded textures from a file using Twilight but I can't find the corresponding material in the file. The material browser thumbnail is not always helpful (too small).

You mean the file name, as in xxx.jpg? If so, select the material/edit/. The 'Texture' dialogue shows the file name, which your file explorer should find easily.

Edit material only shows the material name in the box below. If I edit texture (open GIMP) Gimp has a name which relates to the image file. Yet sometimes the GIMP name doesn't correspond to anything I can find. So far the only way that MIGHT tell me the actual texture hame is to open in GIMP. That would be slow in trying to manage textures in reducing them for example. With the Twilight export I can easily see what textures are larger--but finding what they are in the Sketchup file is another matter, especially when the image in SU is so small it just looks like a solid color.
