    Hello,

a bit confusing: Is it possible that you cannot purge materials on non-grouped objects after deleting them?
Example: I erased a material in the component at startup, for example Chris hair. After that when I try to purge the material hair in editor, I get "the material is in use". When I delete the whole component it works fine.
The background: In my object I've got a whole of a lot of strange materials, amongst others Chris shoes, which is defenitivly not in use. Trying to delete it I get the same message. Well, I did it manually.
Is there a plugin to show which objects are used by the materials? Or even better, is there any material cleaner who is able to do this? Purgeall, cleanup don't help, even SU-statistics!

    Thanks a lot in advance!

You can't purge a material before you purge the component it was in.

        Thanks a lot, Box!

        Yes you can! But...
I created 4 simple objects, added different colours and created a comoponent.

I deleted one or several objects, and I was able to purge two materials. But always the one I added last its material will not be purged. This has to be removed manually.

The problem is we have a hell of lot of components in our projects which are mostly downloaded from the warehouse (we are restaurantdesigners). This means a lot of mess, most of the materials are not labeled or purged before. It would help to know which objects are (were) assigned to the material. A plugin would help!

        Regards Picky
