Maxwell texture mapping
-
Hi everybody,
I’m working a lot with Sketchup to build interiors and Maxwell to create materials and for the render.
I have a major problem with the scaling of materials!! I would like to use the different fabrics we use in our interiors on sofa’s and chairs for exemple. So I take pictures of the fabrics and upload them into the texture picker in MXED. I generally copy the file into the reflectance 90 and the bump and I have my “simple” fabric.
So far so good..After that I put the material on my object (expl:100cm x 100xm x 40cm) and my problem begins. My fabric is divided in several squares.. When I start editing the relative or meters options it gets worse or my texture is completely stretched out!
Can you help me by telling me what I'm doing wrong please?
Thanks in advance!
Regards

Hi, you also need to equalize your texture to make it seameless. Here is a version of it.

The mapping should be done in Sketchup. "Relative" is the right option.
What's wrong with the first image? The texture is stretched a bit in one direction, because you made it square. But besides that it looks ok to me.
