All is clear now! Abvent has sold TwinMotion to Epic Games!

And that means the next version will be full Unreal engine, Lumion is about to get some very serious competition.

I'll be interested to see if this is the case - the common criticism that I've seen of Unreal Engine is that it's very difficult for beginners to pick up.
I'm thinking this move might be Unreal's attempt to get a bit more user friendly in the Architecture space - if so, this is really exciting news

I'm betting this is exactly that and I'm hoping that it will even be integrated like Enscape is at moment.

Looks like a great opportunity, regardless of the motivations of their new owner β especially when you consider the price of the Lumion/Enscape competition.
Before registering to download, a couple of questions for someone more familiar:
Is TwinMotion Windows only, or do they have a MacOS version?
How demanding are the system requirements? -
If I remember correctly Twinmotion uses UE render engine from the starting
-
Twinmotion is using UE since v2018.

So cool without any tutos!
2-5 seconds / images very sufficient for Hobbyists!
Reload SketchUp, moi3D (obj, fbx) etc...

A little bit of background here...
Epic Games acquires Twinmotion viz tool for architects, then gives it away
Epic Games targets users of BIM software, especially Revit and ArchiCAD, with Unreal Engine-powered Twinmotion.

Thank you, it had what i wanted to read

When asked about specifics, Petit remained fairly tight lipped, although he did confirm that there were plans for direct synchronisation with other CAD / BIM tools, such as SketchUp or Rhino.

Lots of great info in that article - I'm most excited about the idea that Twinmotion could act as a link to Unreal Engine. One of the things I really struggled with with Datasmith was that the process was very complex and clunky - If Unreal can get Twinmotion set up as a tool where you can easily set up materials, etc, then export that into Unreal for full on effects rendering, that could be ultra powerful

I agree Justin, so far I tried a few models and they worked really well and EASY. So far a win-win for us.

Before I go in and create an account just to see the site... Can someone tell if TwinMotion is for the Mac?

Yeah i haven't noticed much and the support seems a bit limited.
There is a youtube channel though which may be worth checking out?

Seems there will have in no time a specialized forum here!
