      Hello all,

      This is my first post on the forum, however I am very appreciative of the help I have gained in the past couple of days from other posts. I wonder if anyone would be willing to consider the following issue for me.

      This is what I am trying to acheive: (an added technicality - it must be a solid shape at the end so that i can 3d print as part of my brief)
      Objective

      Method 1 - ShapeBender

      1. I used 'shapebender' extension with the help of 'TheSketchUpEssentials' Youtube tutorial to acheive this, it maintained the scale of the shapes and maintained a solid, but when bent for the second time to create the desired shape it was no longer a solid as holes had appeared and it also did not join if mirrored to create my desired end product for printing as it had skewed / stretched at the rear.

      Method 2 - Flowify
      2. I used 'Flowify' extension with the help of 'TheSketchUpEssentials' Youtube tutorial to acheive this, it did not maintain the scale of the shape, instead stretching it over the surface, also it was no longer a solid as it caused several holes.

      I would very much appreciate if anyone could suggest a method of producing my final objective as shown above, i have move complex versions to complete after this week, so I will need to find a workable method.

      (PS, in the past, I have worked in Rhino3D and I absolutely hate the complexity, however if you think this is beyond Sketchups capabilities, please let me know)

        Additional Info : I am using Sketchup Pro 2018 on a Dell XPS.

            Having watched the videos, I can see how these may help, thankyou.

            I cannot however use these methods for my works for a couple of reasons, firstly that the sphere and cube used in the multiple offset video contain equal geometrys and as such it copies the geometry. This would be an issue as I would require a different shape to the current geometry of the shape I start with.

            The other video has useful commands especially when the strawberry divides itself up into a lattice type effect, however once again, this is assuming every face is equal and the correct shape to start with, rather than mapping a shape of my choice ontot he object.

              As you deform your object with FFD before use SubD the parts on the surface will be different! πŸ˜‰
