Issues w/ curved intersecting faces + issues w/ RoundCorners

I'm quite new on Sketchup but I've seen a million tutorials so that I could get out of this situation but it's still happening!
I need to intersect two cylinders and then I need to chamfer the intersected edge. The problem is that It isn't a neat intersection (as you can tell from the pictures) so when I try to create the chamfer with roundcorners what I get is a mess (as you can tell from the pictures as well). Am I doing something wrong? please help me because this thing is driving me mad!Cheers:)
