      This was a quickie for practice the other day. Not really woodworking so much but I figured I'd share.

      It's based on a table from the 1930s but I updated the top with a laminate from the 50s. πŸ˜„

        Did you consider making the top in something like black onyx, with a vase or bowl on the top? That might give you some interesting opportunities for reflections in the render.

          I hadn't thought of the black onyx but I did think of adding this little clock I drew awhile back. I should play with the top material, though.

          The clock is a few years old than the table.

          What do you think? black Bakelite?

                  Thanks Dave.

                  I've been playing with the clock on the table. Decided I like the black clock better than the ivory colored one so I changed the top on the table. I've also been playing with a KT version but I'm not totally happy with it yet.
