Insanity
-
Been fooling about putting this "render room" together. The general layout was inspired by an old Frank Sinatra movie I was watching last week ... go figure . Posting the first test shot. Have to go back in and change out a few things here and there and run some more views. Will post new shots as they happen. Big thing I need is a better HDRI for the outside the window view.....
The insanity is the model is starting to choke SU. A lot of high poly small stuff and 140 plus textures .

Convert your models to proxies.
I actually like the room I'd just criticize two things:
- Window frames are too wide, breaking the relationship with the exterior and making the room too dark.
- The camera in the corner of the room tries to pickup on everything instead of conveying the feeling of being inside the room actually living it.

very good

the first thing I noticed was the good and realistic scene lighting. I see an excellent quality in combination of both: HDR lighting and artificial lighting. So how about keeping this HDR as a light source but changing the visible background only?@tuna1957 said:

which is a logical but also often required trap we all have to fall into to revive our scenes - again and again -
JQL, HornOxx, Really appreciate your comments and input. Plan to mess about with this as time allows, it's good practice I think. HornOxx the background is part of the HDRI. Think the scene would look a little better with a cityscape view out the windows......
