Problems with editing materials

Hi,
I am experiencing problems when trying to edit material in Sketchup 2016 Pro on Windows.
I pick the material and when i try to edit, its not even takes ages to load but also seems that its a unique ( no matter how many objects are coloured the same colour/fabric it only adjust the one i sampled)
Please help
