Improving drawing in 3d by 100x idea
-
hello , the thing that is really frustrating in sketchup is that you cant draw 2d easely in a 3d plane witouth 1) creating first a rectangle or a grid that is a support for drawing in this plane , and then deleting after (so annoying) or 2) moving the axis.
after i downloaded a really cool plugin that got partially my idea : "2d Tool" https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=2Dtools
so basically you set a height for a invisible plane like the invisible default plane you draw on in a virgin project , an you can only draw in 2d in that plane ! the plane is a plane perpendicular to the z axis , well call him the z plane . you just have to set up the height of this plane by clicking womewhere and then thats it you can ONLY draw in 2d on that plane ;the problem is that 1) it could be easier 2) ITS ONLY FOR the Zplane god damn !

so here is my idea having it better and easier ! here how it work : like how you draw a line parrallel to the z axis you need to click the up arrow right ? so if you want to draw on the z plane you just keep pressing a touch (like tab or down arrow , just something) then press the up arrow key ! then your in plane mode and you can either one click a point to point in the 3d model to draw at this height , or clicking a point , keep clicking and while keep clicking you enter the heigth of your z plane , and thats it your on your z plane , then after finishing drawing in plane mode you push an button to escape plane mode , simple as that
same for x plane and y plane ( pressing a touch ((like tab or something ) + left arrow or right arrow to access x plane or y plane
so who want to do this extension ?
what do u guys think isnt this idea revolutionary for drawing in 3d ? -
Also, another tool ~> click 3 point OK the model ~> lock mode in this 3point plane in 2d mode
