Finite element analysis plugin for SketchUp
-
Is there any FEA/FEM plugins available for SketchUp yet? I see this topic has come up from time to time over the years but I don't see any resolution posted. It seems that there is a number of people who think FEA for SketchUp is useful. The Enmesh video is perfect but its only a concept (and an old one at that) and its not available.
I am not a coder or Ruby expert but I would love to see FEA for SketchUp become a reality. Is it possible that this functionality could be achievable? I would happily sponsor/fund an open source project to create this plugin and make simple finite element analysis available to all.

Thanks pilou.
I will give this a go, but I would still love to see something for SketchUp.
Is there any reason why this has not been developed yet? Too hard, not compatible, etc?

I use Simsolid, You export your model as an STL file. upload it into simsolid and go to town. You can try it out for free for like 30 days. But the program is kinda pricey.
You also have to be super careful with your Sketchup model. All groups and components must be clean and show a volume in your entity info tray. I use solid inspector to help double check.
