The subject might a little misleading, what I'm looking for is a command that, after I select a few objects in a crowded scene (very long Outliner), allows me to hide everything else. Then, when I've completed work on the selected objects, unhide the recently hidden objects.

Perhaps thre's a command hidden somewhere, or possibly a script.
