Intrigued by pop up books and cards..

I find pop up books and cards amazing. There something magical in this kind of craft. In this time of advanced digital technology, anything that is not electronic could amuse us in a whole unique way.
I just wonder if there's a plug-in that could be made in SU that could help us engineer these kind of stuff. Im thinking Sketchyphysics dedicated to movements of folding , tensions and things like that...
Currently there is a software called Pop-up card designer... but Im so comfortable working in SU for anything... Just hoping here, surely I can make too many tech-sick people happy...
