Lake House Final

I didn't think I was going to be able to render the exterior. The model size is huge and my laptop really struggled.
It took me 2 days to set up this up because SketchUp kept freezing up and then Raylectron started freezing up. That's one of the reasons the exterior isn't quite prefect. I also couldn't find the right trees. I went through maybe half a dozen or more trees before I settled on these. And there was no way I was going to get the ground texture I wanted, so let's pretend the owners mow their property. A lot.
I'm kind of ambivalent about the exterior render. It turned out better than I thought it would given my PC limitations, but I could still fiddle with. Which would mean more days and more freezes. So here it is.
I tried to capture what is basically the Rocky Mountains atmosphere of light and color I think I got pretty close. But again, not quite.
So here is the full package. Thanks for everyone's help and also to those who followed along.

This sounds like a tough job on your laptop Bryan. I think you should consider billboard trees to reduce the geometry. The interiors are nicely modelled and detailed but don't seem to match the style and appearance of the exterior. The lighting of the background doesn't seem to match the interior.

Nice job Bryan. I know I struggle with the same things like the trees and exterior but it's all about learning and getting better. It's good to get some critique so we also learn.

Simon, thanks and good suggestions. You are right that the lighting is not consistent.
For the first time I just saw the renders on a decently large monitor and wow! Is it ever off! Way farther off than I suspected!
Good catch.
My plan is to build a new workstation by the end of the year so that should resolve most of my issues.

Walts, thanks.
See my reply to Simon.
I really need to get a better system and bigger monitor than my poor old laptop.
Hopefully later this year.

Bryan, Congrats on getting her done. Good job. That is one imaginative design you pulled off. When you get a little more computer power down the road you'll have to do revisit this and see what you can do. One thing I can't help wondering , just how much something like this would cost . Keep up the good work.

I cannot believe I have not posted here yet. It's a nice place you have designed here, extremely futuristic and all the better for that. Nice render views.

Thanks Charles. Yes, it will cost a lot.
Thanks Mike.
