Space bar suddenly pops up Geo-Location box on my Mac
-
My space bar is suddenly popping up my Geo-Location box and I cannot figure out how to get it back to the "select" tool. I've looked online and the fixes are for older versions so my preferences look different and don't give the options they suggest.
I am on a Mac using Pro 2017.
My Mac operating system is Capitan 10.11.5Can someone help? This is slowing me down immensely! Thanks!

Often happen to me with 2015, never know why go to main toolbar click select tool repairs the shortcut.

Gilles, I tried that, but it didn't work.

Hope for a SU Guru to read this and display is knowledge, let's pray.

Go to the user defined key bindings in SU preferences and check it there, consider changing it there so the configuration file gets resaved and see if that works.

JuJu-
If you are speaking of the shortcut preferences, it is set to the space bar. If that's not what you mean, can you be more specific? If I hit tab 4 times whenever I open a file, it reverts, but I need to do it permanently.

Yep, that is what I was referring to.
Map the space bar to another function & check what geolocation shortcut is mapped (consider changing that), save, close SketchUp. Relaunch SketchUp, map space bar back to what you want, save, close SketchUp. Relaunch SketchUp and see if it worked. Apart from that, I have nothing...

Nope....that didn't work. I now have geo-locate mapped to " and it still pops up when I hit the space bar. Apparently from what i'm reading online this is a known problem with Mac. Somehow I inadvertently set the icon at the bottom left of the page so now I have to hit the tab bar 4x every time I open a project or start a new one.
Ugh.
