Selecting perimeter edges in selection?

I was just watching this YouTube video:
At around 12:45 all the faces and edges are selected (by I assume triple clicking), the selection then goes from having all faces/edge selected to just the perimeter edges being selected.
How is this done?

Maybe this
In general you triple click on something: here a surface
so you have all selected : Surface + Perimeter
so just re-click with Ctrl + SHift
Invert selection by Tig can help!You have also Right Click / Select Only ...Border Edge !

Ah yes, selection toys sorted me out, I wasn't looking in the right place, it's on the menu but not on the toolbar.
