Dynamic Componet Definition

Is it possible to have a dynamic componet change its definition based on a formula? For example : If I have a 8' long block named BLOCK. Is it possible to change the definition to CUT_BLOCK if the length drops below 8'? I know it works for the name attribute but wondered if it was possible for the actual definition?

This is not possible without going through the ruby scripte.
