Hi Gary -
I'm wondering if you're planning on adding L and U-shaped stair options to this plugin? It would seem a relatively easy thing, especially compared to what you've already created for spiral stairs.
I've been following your progress on Cabinet Maker, so I realize that you've likely not had a lot of time to devote lately to Stair Maker. It would be great if I could (eventually) use it for all the stairs I model — the majority of which are either U-shaped or L-shaped.
Any word for future development for this one?

Doug - I do have plans to get back into StairMaker.
L shaped and U shaped stairs are part of my plans (using simple landings). There will probably be additional parameters. I'm also thinking about including a notching point for either side of the stair. Example the top of the stair is between 2 walls and the stair widens after the notching point, possibly changing from housed to sawtooth after the notch.
-
Another idea that I have is to create elliptical stairs. There are essentially 2 types where the stair starts either at the minor or major axis. These stairs can be made comfortable without having a change of pitch. They can also be made with a continuous change of pitch (bigger challenge - more costly)

That's great Gary — looking forward to seeing future Stair Maker development.

Hey Gary K,
I justed download your "stair maker" plugin but i can't use it.
I'm register on your web site but an error message appears on up left corner of the control window "web service error code 101". You can see on the JPEG file.thank you for your help.

Error 101 means the internet connection time out on your computer. Stairmaker needs to connect to my web service once every week.
