Vectorized shadows
-
Iβm quite passionate about vector graphics in architecture. I have an eBook of Architectural Graphics by Francis DK Ching, 6th Edition. He has used vector shadows and gradients!
I was blown away when I saw the graphics.
I am just curious what software did he use to create such shadows?
Manually applying gradient in Illustrator would be a cumbersome procedure.
Any way to directly export vector shadows from any particular software? -
I guess he's updating, but all the books I have by him mostly feature hand drawing. Why do you mention "vector" shadows? Not sure what that means.

Vector shades and shadows means that they will not get pixelated at all no matter what. Yeah! He has updated a lot of things. He's included the mention of renderings and computer graphics as well.

Normally any today's renders can make that!

I dont think there is any 3D software that can do this. A long time ago there was a Adobe program called Dimensions that was 3D and vector. Mostly for logos and simpler stuff.
You could perhaps export the shadows separately from SketchUp and vectorize them with trace image in Illustrator or similar. -
Tig has shadows Projector !

Yes, I have it. It's a lovely plugin. I recommend TIG to my friends as the Nike, Adidas, Puma, of plugins. He is a brand. Always use his plugins whenever you find yourself choosing between more than one plugin suitable for the same purpose.
