DAE for Sdmitch or other coders!
-
-
I see no problem
-
License type:Free/Make?
I believe its a Pro feature
-
At the start of the session I import the DAE file but...
I have this! Do you think it's because i have SketchUp Make and not the PRO ?
Same result with all possibilies of import DAE options!
Can you post your cube as DAE exported from your SketchUp ? -

I believe its a Pro featureI don't believe!
When I export objects from SU Make as DAE format
I can import them at any moment as DAE format!
Very mysterious! -

Work in the 2015!
(import the DAE)
Seems existing in the 2016 but I see it only on the Structure!
Not on the screen!
(saved as 2014)

(saved as 2014)The model seems to be empty but Model Statistics shows that there is 1 ComponentInstance.
Interesting but I haven't a clue as to why.

I make some "New" and sometimes that works, sometimes not! (in 2016)
In any case I have not more since your dae file the Message "Empty component")I believe the object is very tiny!
Maybe this explain that ? -

Seems make some "New" and take a more scaled new object resolve this curious problem!
I had the error message (empy component) but after some "New"
that is working!
Maybe also general Axes Position/ Screen ?... -
To test if size is the problem, you can edit the .dae file and change line 99
<scale sid="scale">0.001 0.001 0.001</scale>
to
<scale sid="scale">1 1 1</scale>
-
I just test in take 1000 unities in the Start program : that makes 1 m inside SketchUp
And seems now working fine! -
And Yep with your code that works like a charm!
The mystery is why that works for you and Solo for the original and not for me!
Have you a secret resizing?
