If you search the 3D Warehouse using cable tray as the search words, you will find a collection of cable trays element ranging from 6 inches to 24 inches wide. This is a free component that you can insert in your model and then use to copy the parts that you need. When done, hide it or delete it.
The Trimble company is selling SketchUp MEP Designer for SketchUp and the company 3skeng are also selling plugins to facilitate cable trays modeling.

Trimble MEP and 3skeng aren't cheap solutions, something like Profile Builder (currently at version 2.1) is cheaper and more versatile, you can also try the Engineering Toolbox plugin with the "Insert external Component" option if they don't already have cable trays.
